Deep South in the Mid-South

L to R: top row Jonathan Burmeister (Mississippi State Univ.), Alok Srivastava (Independent Researcher); middle row, Greg Johnson (Mississippi State Univ.), Carl Gillett (Northern Illinois Univ.), Marshall Abrams (Univ. of Alabama, Birmingham); front row, Jared Millson (Rhodes College), Michelle Merritt (Arkansas State Univ.), Michael DeVico (Florida State Univ.), Marica Bernstein, John Bickle (Mississippi State Univ., Univ. of Mississippi Medical Center)

To no one’s surprise, the Special Meeting* of the Deep South Philosophy & Neuroscience Workgroup (held in conjunction with the Mid-South Philosophy Conference, Rhodes College, Memphis, March 24-25) was a great success. Smaller and shorter than our annual meetings, Philosophy & Neuroscience @ The Gulf (held at Pensacola Beach in Octobers), it was nonetheless informative and productive. (David Barack was unfortunately unable to attend and present as scheduled due to weather.)

Look forward for the Philosophy & Neuroscience @ The Gulf VI

meeting announcement and CFP coming soon.

*Word on the street is that meeting up in Memphis may become an annual event. (So many Memphis songs….)
